The Customer:

We Wai Kai First Nation recently constructed a new Administrative Building in Campbell River, BC. As part of the new build, they were looking to incorporate renewable energy into the facility and reduce the amount of electricity the building would need to draw from the grid.

The Solution:

The goal was to integrate solar into the new building from the outset, providing a high-quality, long-term renewable energy solution that would help offset the building’s electricity consumption, reduce ongoing energy costs, and allow We Wai Kai First Nation to generate a significant amount of clean electricity right on site. Working alongside the project team during construction, Small Planet Energy designed and installed a 139-panel, roof-mounted solar PV system to maximize the available roof space and integrate seamlessly with the new building.
