The SolarEdge Home Backup Interface (SE-BI-EUSGN-03) is an advanced energy management and backup control solution designed to seamlessly integrate with SolarEdge Home Hub Inverters and residential battery storage systems. Engineered for North American homes, the Backup Interface automatically isolates the home from the utility grid during outages and transitions connected loads to backup power in less than 100 milliseconds. Supporting whole-home or partial-home backup configurations, the system provides flexibility for homeowners seeking energy resilience and uninterrupted power. The integrated Auto Transformer supports up to 5kW of phase imbalance compensation during backup operation, while the built-in PCS-certified energy meter enables advanced Busbar Current Management applications. The Backup Interface also supports generator integration, allowing expanded backup capabilities during prolonged outages. Designed to support up to three SolarEdge inverters and up to 12.5kW of inverter output power, this solution serves as the central control point for SolarEdge Home energy storage systems, providing seamless monitoring, energy management, and backup operation through the SolarEdge ecosystem.
