The FranklinWH Smart Circuits Module is an intelligent load management accessory designed to enhance energy control and automation within the Franklin Home Power (FHP) ecosystem. Integrated with the FranklinWH aGate energy management controller, the Smart Circuits Module enables homeowners to remotely and automatically manage high-demand household loads such as EV chargers, air conditioners, pool pumps, and other large electrical devices through the FranklinWH app. The module supports advanced time-of-use (TOU) load shifting strategies by allowing homeowners to schedule circuits to operate during lower electricity rate periods, helping reduce utility costs and optimize battery and solar energy usage. During backup or off-grid operation, Smart Circuits can also be automatically disconnected based on user-defined battery state-of-charge thresholds to preserve backup energy for essential loads. Supporting up to three individually managed smart circuits, the module provides flexible, app-based control for modern residential solar + storage systems while improving energy efficiency, backup duration, and homeowner convenience.
